Description

Earl Grey is a hugely popular tea. We use only 100% natural Bergamot Oil and an equally high quality Chinese base tea, which results in a significantly superior Earl Grey Tea.

The  Earl Grey Derbyshire Connection
The house of Grey is an ancient English noble family from who came over with William the Conqueror. They were first ennobled in the 13th century as Barons Grey of Codnor in Derbyshire.
Charles Grey second Earl Grey was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom after the Duke of Wellington. It was Lord Grey ‘s government that actually enacted the abolition of slavery in the British Empire. He was also the instigator of the Reform Bill giving you and me a vote. He is the namesake of Earl Grey tea.
Pictured on this tea box is The Reform Tower, also known as The Earl Grey Tower on Stanton Moor, Derbyshire. It is a monument to the 1832 Reform Act. It was built around 1833 by the Thornhill family to commemorate Earl Grey.
